Hidarime Tantei no Eye→2009

わーい !

Hidarime Tantei no Eye is absolutely mind blowing. Usually I watch j-dramas for JUMP but Hidarime Tantei Eye is so good you don't need to know HSJ to enjoy it.

The main character Ainosuke Tanaka, played by the fabulous Ryosuke Yamada, has a poor eye. His brother Yumehito Tanaka, played by Yu Yokoyama, dies and so he gets a cornea transplant from him. Ainosuke suddenly sees images with his left eye when he gets injured. He figures out those images he sees are things Yumehito has seen which means...Yumehito is actually alive. DUNH DUNH DUNH! Yumehito...why?

Yumehito is now a criminal. He kidnaps for ransom, threatens and hurts others. In fact, in episode 2 thing got out of control and he managed to get Ainosuke's friend Masaki, played by Yuma Nakayama. (Fuck yeah, Yuma Nakayama!!!) Yay, brotherly love.

Realizing he can solve and stop his brothers crimes Ainosuke uses the eye images to help police officers, his friends and innocent people also with the help of his school nurse Sayama Hitomi, played by Satomi Ishihara.

The storyline is absolutely perfection. The show has it's kawaii parts and it's heart stopping moments like every amazing show should have. The tapatsu had me at the edge of my seat so the rest had to be good! But um, here's a confession: I found nurse Hitomi so annoying, Like, she always is like, Ainosuke this, Ainosuke that, Ainosuke give me money.

But can we talk about this awesome OST? The theme is so beautiful my heart jumps listening to it. It's so much feelings! (Fun fact: There was an OST giveaway at the of an episode.)

Can we talk about Yu Yokoyama in this though; you're so perfect in Kanjani8 and then you have to make me fall for you more in this drama!? I loved the role he played in this, a.k.a "bad boy with a smirk 24/7."

And Shintaro in this drama too! Shintaro Morimoto was featured in this drama as Shimada in episode 3 the one where they were at the Blue Heaven rock metal concert and --

You'll have to watch the rest to find out. But like 1/2 Morimoto brothers were there so that makes everything BETTER.
But Ainosuke/Yama chan gives me feels in the show. His acting was f a b u l o u s.

The ending theme is Hitomi no Screen, which we all know the song. But after all this time when that song came on I was like: ヽ(;▽;)ノ。

In conclusion, Hidarime Tantei Eye is one of my favorite dramas ever.

UPDATE: It is now September and I am still obsessed with it so much I got the OST and the show is my lockscreen.

Sensei Wa Erai! →2008

Time for another review - da-hsj

In fact I have to say, I laughed like 300 times watching Sensei Wa Erai. It's also a very sweet drama. I think it's a chibi thing for Hey! Say! JUMP. Yuri, Yuto and Daiki get a lot of attention in this short filmed show more than Yamada and honestly that makes me happy. (Don't get me wrong, I love Yamada!) It's just Yamada got a lot of attention in other dramas. But I like the way the characters were in this.

It's about a Sensei Uzaken. He is not a bad teacher but nor a good one. Souta, played by Yuto Nakajima, tells his ex-friend Gonjou that his teacher is so wonderful and lies. After realizing that he lied and now has to actually change the teacher he gets help from his friends Wata, played by Chinen Yuri and Takekura, played by Daiki Arioka. In a twist of tragic events their teacher gets sick.

Now, now, I don't want to spoil anything so I'm just going to say, WOW, this was not what I expected. But there are also funny parts. Like Souta and his Shibuya obsession:

Or him trying to act cool at Shibuya with his brother's clothing. LMAO:

Wata's like...'???'

Another drama, Scrap Teacher was filmed the same time as Sensei Wa Erai starring the same people. If you're a HSJ fan there's a 101% chance you've seen it. Or if you like SexyZone. To see the review click the heart→  One thing that made me so annoyed in the movie was Gonjou was a bit snobby! But as usual he was kawaii...so I guess that makes everything okay. Since this is one of the first j-dramas I ever watched (2nd to be exact) I would recommend this. Especially if you love Dork Lord, Chii, Penguin and Mountain-chan.

Scrap Teacher Review!→2008

Hello~! da-hsj speaking.

I have been watching Scrap Teacher for so long and no lie, I always play the episodes over and over again. Some people do not like the dorama, because it's so cheesy and cliché. I'm not going to argue but I love it.

It's about Sensei Sugi, played by Kamiji Yusuke, a new teacher at a school that is closing down. The students take this as advantage to go crazy all about around the school. Basically they litter, smoke, draw on walls, break windows, you get the point. But there is one student who still cares and his name is Kusaka, played by Yuto Nakajima. Three new mysterious transfer students join to  try to help the school.

From left to right one of the transfers is named Irie played by Daiki Arioka, Takasugi played by Ryosuke Yamada and Yoshida played by Yuri Chinen.

In some episodes they have stunts the boys perform. Some of it is cool and some, not so much. In episode five they had to do some. Takasugi did bike tricks and and Irie did skateboard flips. Yoshida had the biggest role in jumping from rooftop buildings. In the show the teachers and students are very active characters and play big roles--even if it's just for one episode. They also have comedy in it which makes it better. Like how Takasugi has problems with being "popular" or "handsome." Or that he has a really good voice but he can't sing in a choir. And Yoshida's obsession with plants! Over time they help class 2B, (Sensei Sugi's class) and the school. Although Takasugi, Yoshida and Irie are very cold in the show, you still love them!

Sometimes I do wish someone like the Sensei's in the show would come teach at my school. Or that I'd hopefully meet someone like Takasugi, Yoshida or Irie. As old as this show is trust me, this show will give you feels as long as you like Hey! Say! JUMP or SexyZone and inspirational cheesy j-dramas.

Ryosuke, Yuto, Yuri and Daiki are little super delicate dumplings I'm the drama. So chibi omg.

And this short filmed show is not only good in general but it has an amazing OST. While filming Scrap Teacher they also were filming another short dorama, called Sensei Wa Erai! This one is a comedy and is much more lighter and happier than Scrap Teacher. Plus Yuto is pretty damn funny. To see that review click this. ♥  So, here's to the first j-drama I ever watched (ik quite lame). Rooting on Scrap Teacher!
